Although Ave Mujica enjoys a growth in popularity after several successful concerts, leader Sakiko Togawa sternly continues to demand the members to follow her vision for the band in an attempt to completely forget her traumatic past, causing clashes within the band that spiral into each member's ulterior motives, insecurities, secrets, and traumas being brought to light. The band members include Sakiko Togawa (Oblivionis), Mutsumi Wakaba (Mortis), Umiri Yahata (Timoris), Uika Misumi (Doloris), and Nyamu Yūtenji (Amoris).

Sakiko, the keyboardist and self-appointed leader, enforces a rigid creative vision she believes will allow the band to shed the shadow of their shared past. Director Kōdai Kakimoto has explained that her driving impulse is to erase the emotional pain of Crychic's end, wrapping herself in the Oblivionis persona as a shield. Yet the series deliberately fractures that armor. As the season progresses, the pressure Sakiko applies forces every member to confront buried insecurities, hidden agendas, and old wounds. The Five Members & Their Personas

Each Ave Mujica member adopts a Latin-named stage persona that encodes a specific fear they claim to have conquered. Sakiko Togawa, the keyboardist living in poverty alongside her disgraced father, channels her desire to be forgotten into the identity Oblivionis. Mutsumi Wakaba, the soft-spoken rhythm guitarist and Sakiko's childhood confidante, hides a far more complex truth: she lives with dissociative identity disorder, and her alter Mortis steps in as a protector to spare her from further psychological harm. By the series' close, director Kakimoto clarified that neither Mutsumi nor Mortis persists as a singular core identity; instead, a rotating cast of roles takes control of their body, with Mortis's lingering presence hinted at through a final smiling reflection. Umiri Yahata, the stoic bassist, keeps professional distance after her first band rejected her meddling. Uika Misumi, the lead guitarist and vocalist who also performs in the idol unit sumimi, suppresses genuine emotion behind a grateful facade. Ave Mujica does not exist in isolation; it is one of two bands born from the wreckage of Crychic, the other being MyGO!!!!!. The connection between the two groups is both musical and deeply personal. Sakiko's decision to found Ave Mujica was triggered by watching former Crychic members Tomori, Soyo, and Taki perform the song Haruhikage with what would become MyGO!!!!!, an event that crystallized her resolve to build something new. Tomori Takamatsu, MyGO!!!!!'s vocalist and another Crychic alumnus, repeatedly tries to bridge the gap to Sakiko, sensing the pain the leader is trying to bury, only to be turned away each time.
